Dr. Masatada Koga completed his orthodontic training at the Tokyo Dental College in 1974.
He has lectured extensively in Japan as well as internationally. He is a member of the Japanese Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Southern California Component of the Edward H. Angle Society. Dr. Koga is a lecturer of Tokyo Dental College , Department of Orthodontics and clinical assistant professor at the University of Southern California, Department of Orthodontics in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Takako Koga completed her dental degree from Tokyo Dental College in 1974. Since 2003 she has been working successfully with Dr. Masatada Koga. She is a member of the Japanese Orthodontic Society and Tokyo Dental College Society.

Dr. Yoshiaki Koizumi completed his orthodontic training at the Tokyo Dental College in 2006. He is a member of the Japanese Orthodontic Society, the Tokyo Orthodontic Society.

Dr. Jiro Koga completed his orthodontic training at the Tsurumi University, Department of Orthodontics in 2009. He is a member of the Japanese Orthodontic Society, the Tokyo Orthodontic Society.He is taking Dr.McLaughlin 2 years Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at San Diego, U.S.A.

At the first visit to our office, a complimentary panorex X-ray and photographs will be taken to determine the best course of treatment. The initial examination includes a review of your medical/dental history, a clinical exam and an estimate of the treatment fee. Once this has been established, further records will be requested, which will include articulated study models and a cephalometric (profile) X-ray.

After the doctor has evaluated all your records, we will discuss your treatment with you in greater detail, answer any questions, and finalize the financial arrangements.

The appointment to place your appliances (braces etc.), usually takes between one to two hours . You will then see us at regular intervals 2 to 8 weeks apart for a check or adjustment, which normally takes 40 to 60 minutes. Our regular office hours are 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday, to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Canceling appointments may extend your treatment time and is not recommended.

The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins.
For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD and JCB.

We want you to know that we are always available if you have a problem with your appliances. Please call or fax our office if you have an orthodontic emergency to schedule an appointment at 03-3416-4183. Most emergencies can wait to be addressed until your next appointment or until the office reopens. Below are some potential problems and what you can do to make yourself comfortable.

1) Irritation on Cheeks Or Gums
When you first get your braces, the cheeks and gums have to get use to them. Rinsing with warm salt water can help make things feel better and help any irritations heal. Placing wax on the brace or wire that is rubbing can help cushion things and speed up the healing process.

2)Tooth Soreness
Your teeth will be sore typically 3-5 days after an adjustment. The doctors suggest using any pain reliever that you normally use for a headache or similar discomfort.

3) Loose Brace
If a brace is loose and still attached to the wire, wax can help hold it in place until you come in to have it repaired. If a brace comes completely off, please save it and bring it in to your next appointment.

4) Wire Sticking or Sharp
If a wire starts to poke your cheek or gum, dry the wire and brace well and place wax to cushion or you may clip the wire with a clean nail clipper. Call the office to schedule an appointment to have this repaired.
